Deddy Bones in Potato Dome, 2006
Blown and lampworked glass
45 x 34 x 34 cm

Tom Moore has been working with hot glass since 1990 and continues to adapt traditional techniques in the pursuit of his kooky creations. For several years Moore – whose time is divided between producing his labour - intensive exhibition work at Adelaide’s Blue Pony Studio and his role as production manager in the glass workshop at the JamFactory Contemporary Craft and Design Centre – has been constructing mixed media landscapes that have been described as ‘like museum dioramas for imaginary specimens’, whose protagonists are a magical mixture of plants, animals and machines.
