Aunty Lucy Williams-Connelly has been an artist and maker from an early age. A Waradgerie (Wiradjuri) Elder based in Swan Hill, Victoria, her work Dilly Bags embodies her resilience as a Waradgerie Cultural Knowledge holder and teacher.

Dilly bags have been a tool crafted and used by First Nations people across the continent, made from different natural fibres and techniques depending on the region. Aunty Lucy uses contemporary materials, reclaiming found, recycled and donated yarn – skilfully woven to embody her story of strength, family, survival.
